Load preparation

A useful route starts with a load that has a clear owner, partner and delivery promise. Dispatcher enters the freight movement under the right organization and gives it a record number that can be used across handoffs. The stop plan then makes the proposed movement concrete.

Step by step

  1. Register load Dispatcher

Dispatcher records the subject, organization, owner, counterparty, promised delivery time and freight amount while the load is Draft.

    • Establishes the owner, partner and promise
    • Updates Loads, Organizations, Transport partners, Team members
  2. Prepare stops Dispatcher

Dispatcher enters ordered stops with addresses and windows. Each stop stays linked to the parent load.

    • Adds ordered windows to the load
    • Updates Load stops, Loads
  3. Draft route Dispatcher

Dispatcher creates a Draft route proposal for the same load and organization, with its revision and estimated miles where available.

    • Identifies a candidate and revision
    • Updates Route proposals, Loads
  4. Submit route Dispatcher

Dispatcher checks the candidate against the stop plan and moves it to Submitted for Transport Supervisor.

    • Places the candidate in review
    • Updates Route proposals, Load stops
Dispatcher
