Keys and references
Keep source identifiers in the migration mapping and resolve references to the corresponding destination records. Operating records use Id, exchange rates uses ID, and Users carries its user reference. Keep item codes and names readable while retaining the mapping needed to link imported records. Lot number is a text identifier used in several contexts; review it together with Item and Location when identifying an inventory balance.
Use People.User to establish which personnel record belongs to the authenticated user. Personal operator screens must follow that mapping when filtering production logs.Operator. Validate references before importing transactions so an interval or issue cannot point to an unrelated work order.
Migration order
- Create Users and People, resolving the user references and active personnel identities.
- Prepare Parties, Items and Resources with agreed units, party types and station states.
- Load and reconcile inventory balances by item, location and lot with reservations.
- Import Orders and purchase orders, followed by order lines and purchase lines using their parent references.
- Prepare work orders, then operator assignments and material issues against the intended job and station records.
- Bring in production logs, Batches and andon events only after agreeing historical scope and preventing imports from replaying stock effects. Verify exchange rates separately as a read-only source.
