Record production and hand output to review

Close an operator interval with good and scrap quantities, then pass completed output into a Pending batch.

Step by step

  1. Select the working context Production Operator

Production Operator opens the intended work order and selects their personnel record. Check the product and planned quantity before reporting output. Review station assignments for the same operator and work order when discussing where the work took place.

    • Operator and job are identified
    • Updates Work orders, People, Operator assignments
  2. Record the interval Production Operator

Production Operator records the production start and end. The interval should reflect the work being reported, including the agreed treatment for a shift boundary or partial run. Resolve a wrong end time before submitting.

    • Start and end describe the reported work
    • Updates Production logs
  3. Enter the unit result Production Operator

Production Operator records good units and scrap units separately. Use the agreed product unit and explain any correction with Production Planner. Scrap remains visible in production reporting and must not be counted as accepted finished stock.

    • Good and scrap quantities are recorded separately
    • Updates Production logs, Work orders
  4. Submit completed production Production Operator

Ending the interval validates its times and unit counts, saves the log effect and advances the work order. Completed output is routed into a Pending quality-review batch. Production Planner reviews progress against the remaining planned work.

    • Valid output advances work and creates Pending review scope
    • Updates Production logs, Work orders, Batches
  5. Hand over the batch Quality Reviewer

Quality Reviewer finds the Pending lot and gathers the agreed inspection evidence. This is preparation for the later acceptance decision. The production submission itself does not replace that decision.

    • Inspection context is prepared for acceptance
    • Updates Batches, Production logs

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • The interval belongs to a different job with a similar product. Verify the linked work order before saving the result.
  • An operator enters all output as good units and discusses scrap only verbally. Record the scrap quantity so the planner can reconcile production.
  • The team treats a reported interval as a finished-stock receipt. Follow the batch through acceptance before reconciling accepted inventory.
