Correct scope and reconcile operations

Investigate uncertain learning actions and preserve the evidence behind corrections or withdrawal.

Step by step

  1. Find unresolved work Learning Coordinator

Learning Coordinator examines pending or failed receipts and those needing review and identifies the request needing attention. Read the action and expected revision before deciding what follow-up is appropriate.

    • Identify action and request needing follow-up
    • Updates Operation receipts, Learning requests
  2. Inspect the evidence Program Administrator

Program Administrator compares the request with its learning evidence, decisions and prior receipts. Determine whether the issue concerns changed scope or an operation whose expected effect is uncertain.

    • Compare current scope with recorded outcomes
    • Updates Learning requests, Learning evidence, Review decisions, Operation receipts
  3. Request an authorized correction Program Administrator

Program Administrator uses the correction or cancellation action with the current request identity, actor, expected revision, operation key and reason. Retain earlier evidence so the original decision remains explainable.

    • Record scoped correction or eligible withdrawal
    • Updates Learning requests, Learning evidence, Review decisions, Operation receipts
  4. Reconcile the receipt Program Administrator

Reconciliation reads the locally expected effects against the parent request and evidence. It marks only the receipt as completed or needing review and never repeats an external operation.

    • Inspect receipt-only Completed or needs review result
    • Updates Operation receipts, Learning requests, Learning evidence
  5. Review the outcome Auditor or Credential Reviewer

Auditor traces the result and its supporting evidence. Credential Reviewer investigates a credential-specific discrepancy, while Learning Coordinator follows unresolved delivery work.

    • Read the discrepancy and retain decision history
    • Updates Operation receipts, Credential reviews, Review decisions

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Blind retries. Inspect the saved effect before another attempt at an uncertain operation.
  • Lost history. A correction needs a reason and retained evidence so another reviewer can distinguish the original result from later work.
  • Overstated completion. Read the receipt's action alongside its result; a completed scheduling operation does not establish a credential.
