Sensor registration to observation

Step by step

1. Establish sensor context Site Operator

   Site Operator confirms the sensor identifier, building, zone, metric and unit. Select the operating record that gives the registration its site context. Resolve a similar zone name against the actual building condition before submission.

   • Identify the sensor and its operating context

2. Save the registration Site Operator

   Site Operator submits through the specialty sensor action. The action checks the details and saves the sensor against its operating record. Open Sensor Register and confirm the sensor identifier, building and zone.

   • Validate and persist the attributed sensor
   • Updates Building sensors, Operational events

3. Capture the observation Site Operator

   Site Operator selects the sensor and records the observation date, value and quality through the observation action. The action checks the entry before saving it. Open the observation and confirm the sensor, date and value.

   • Validate and persist the dated value and quality
   • Updates Sensor observations, Building sensors

4. Review source quality Site Operator or Facilities Manager

   Site Operator and Facilities Manager inspect Valid, Missing and Invalid observations using the sensor's metric and unit. Investigate unsuitable evidence before relying on it to interpret the building condition.

   • Examine the measurement in its metric and unit
   • Updates Sensor observations, Building sensors
