Correct Scope and Reconcile Results

Preserve accepted history while reviewing compensating actions and comparing outstanding receipts with local effects.

Step by step

  1. Identify the correction Utility Coordinator

Utility Coordinator requests a correction against the current service case revision. Read the related evidence, decisions and receipts to establish the actual scope and whether it has already been accepted or executed.

    • Establish current revision, affected subject and execution history
    • Updates Service cases, Service evidence, Review decisions, Operation receipts
  2. Cancel unexecuted scope Utility Coordinator

Use the authorized action to cancel eligible draft scope with the explanation retained. Keep the original case and evidence. Cancellation describes the action outcome; the case's operational lifecycle must continue to reflect its real state.

    • Cancel authorized unexecuted work while retaining records
    • Updates Service cases, Operation receipts
  3. Approve compensation Authorized Utility Supervisor

For accepted or executed scope, Authorized Utility Supervisor independently reviews the compensating action. Keep the original reading, quality context and decision available so the new result can be explained alongside the earlier effect.

    • Independently approve correction of accepted or executed scope
    • Updates Review decisions, Interval readings, Service cases, Operation receipts
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  4. Compare the local effects Authorized Utility Supervisor

Authorized Utility Supervisor runs read-first reconciliation of unresolved receipts. Inspect the action identity, expected revision and linked effects against the actual local records. The reconciliation action never re-executes an external operation.

    • Reconcile unresolved receipts without external re-execution
    • Updates Operation receipts, Service cases, Interval readings, Service evidence
  5. Inspect the outcome Authorized Utility Supervisor or Auditor

Authorized Utility Supervisor checks the reconciliation result and any discrepancy evidence. Auditor inspects the original and corrective history using read-only access. A successful action elsewhere on the case does not establish completion of the receipt being investigated.

    • Read comparison evidence and outstanding questions
    • Updates Operation receipts, Review decisions, Record attachments

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • An accepted estimate is silently relabeled as a measured reading. Use the controlled correction path and preserve the original quality history.
  • Another interval shares the case and is mistaken for the target effect. Check the exact subject and revision.
  • Reconciliation repeats an external command to discover its result. Read the linked evidence instead.
  • Original records are deleted during correction. Preserve the accepted and corrective history for inspection.
