- Regional wholesalers
Regional wholesalers
A regional wholesaler can hold owned stock in several warehouses while taking dealer orders against the right entity and location. Purchasing records supplier commitments, receiving records actual arrivals, and transfers preserve the quantity still in transit. Delivery routes tie planned stops to the shipments that leave a warehouse.
How Solar Project Management is set up for you
Set the ownership
Warehouse Manager confirms entity and warehouse scope for positions before stock is reserved or moved.
Follow the promise
Sales Representative keeps the dealer's accepted order quantity and delivery date linked to the current order revision.
Move between branches
Warehouse Operator records dispatch and destination receipt separately; Warehouse Manager reviews the transfer decision.
Confirm each stop
The assigned operator records attempted visits and line results, leaving refused or failed quantity for follow-up.
Start with two warehouses in one entity, one stocked product and one dealer order. Check available quantity after reservations at the source location. Submit a transfer for independent review and dispatch part of its planned quantity. Receive less than the dispatched amount at the destination. The remaining owned stock should stay in transit until another receipt or a reviewed resolution explains it.
Prepare a shipment from the destination warehouse only after available stock is confirmed. Put that shipment on a route with an assigned operator and a stop sequence. Record a partial dealer acceptance and make the Warehouse Manager responsible for the remainder. Ask the Sales Representative to explain the changed promise using the order line's original and revised dates. Accountant can then invoice only the quantity eligible under the order's title rule.
Use the [implementation guide](/solar-project-management/implementation) to rehearse the handoffs. The [data model](/solar-project-management/data-model) shows where transfer and delivery history stays linked.
