Who it's for

Software teams

A delivery team planning product iterations can group stories by sprint scope and keep blockers close to the board. The same project structure gives the team a place to inspect ownership and dates when priorities move.

How Sprint / Agile Board is set up for you

Plan the work

Put the next delivery goal in a sprint scope with its own owner, estimate and dates. Link the stories that the team expects to work.

Watch interruptions

Use the blocked story queue and impediment triage to give a problem a severity and owner. Revisit open risks with their mitigation.

Review outcomes

Inspect submitted scope and time entries with the people who make those decisions. Keep the resulting decision and receipt tied to the source record.

A delivery team planning product iterations can group stories by sprint scope and keep blockers close to the board. The same project structure gives the team a place to inspect ownership and dates when priorities move.

Choose a current product project, a dated scope and a set of assigned stories. The Project Manager checks story priority and the Delivery Lead checks capacity before the team starts. A short rehearsal with a blocked story and a submitted time entry shows whether each person can find the next action. Keep project naming consistent across stories and time entries. After the first operating cycle, compare planned and actual hours, inspect missed milestones and correct the assignments that caused unnecessary waiting.

When a story is blocked by an access problem, the Team Member marks it blocked and raises an impediment against the project. The Project Manager gives that impediment a severity before triage. The Delivery Lead can then compare the affected scope dates with the project milestone and decide what to move.
