Request to station hold

Record an appointment request and hold station time for it, refusing any overlap on the same station.

Step by step

  1. Record the request Booking Coordinator

Booking Coordinator records the client's name, the design and placement, start and end, quoted amount and station. The appointment starts as Requested with the coordinator as owner.

    • Appointment created at Requested
    • Updates Bookings, Resources
  2. Check the station Booking Coordinator

The coordinator reads the station's eligibility note and confirms it suits the work.

    • Eligibility confirmed
    • Updates Resources
  3. Hold the station Booking Coordinator

The coordinator places a hold with setup and cleanup minutes. A hold that overlaps another claim on the same station is refused; otherwise the appointment moves to Held under an expiring hold and a receipt is written.

    • Requested → Held; station time reserved
    • Updates Bookings, Booking resources, Operation receipts

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Setup and cleanup are left out, so the next client arrives while the station is being cleaned.
  • Two coordinators book the same chair for overlapping times.
  • A hold is left to expire and the client thinks they are booked.
