How do I get started?
Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Tax Collection System for your business. Pilot one tax type in one office: raise demands through review and posting, import challans and apply them for a month, then reconcile receivables and collections before adding tax types.
Who approves a demand?
An Assessment Reviewer independent of the officer approves, returns or rejects the exact version submitted, with a reason.
How are authority assessments checked?
Each assessment is approved only after its jurisdiction, date, amount and reference are checked against the evidence attached to the same demand.
How are challan payments recorded?
Payments from banks and gateways arrive as verified receipts with a provider event ID. A receipt already imported is refused.
Can a payment cover part of a demand?
Yes. A receipt is applied within the amount still due, and any remainder stays unapplied until resolved.
How are refunds handled?
Refunds and abatements are credit documents that pass the same review and posting as demands.
Can posted demands be corrected?
Yes, through a compensating journal in an open period that the reviewer approves. The original is marked Reversed.
Does it calculate tax?
Officers enter tax amounts on each line under the authority’s rules. Rates and tax law are applied by your staff.
What drives the cost?
Ordinary manual use has no per-user charge under the platform policy. Imports, integrations, agent execution and other machine work consume prepaid credits; implementation is scoped separately. The pricing page lists the current rates.
