Respond and follow up

Record responses, notes and pauses so timing is measured fairly.

Step by step

  1. First response Observer

The observer's first campus-visible response sets the first response time, once.

    • First response time set
    • Updates Ticket events, Tickets
  2. Notes Observer

Internal notes are added without changing the first response time.

    • Internal note recorded
    • Updates Ticket events
  3. Pause and resume Observer

While waiting on the school, the observer pauses the request; the pause minutes are recorded and the request resumes when the school replies.

    • Request waiting, then resumed
    • Updates Ticket events, Tickets
  4. Escalate if needed Observer

An escalation event flags the request for the coordinator.

    • Escalation recorded
    • Updates Ticket events

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • An internal note is counted as a response.
  • Waiting time on the school counts against the observer.
