Who it's for

Multi-project delivery teams

A team member may have assignments in more than one project during a week. Each time entry names its project, work date and optional task. The weekly submission names a parent work package and organization. Project managers therefore need a clear review practice for weeks with more than one delivery context. The project list, task board and approval queues provide the records to make that check.

How Timesheet Management is set up for you

Identify the owner

Each project and package has an owner, while tasks carry an assignee. The approver can follow those references before deciding time.

Separate daily work

Team Member records each project's hours on dated entries with the appropriate task link.

Review submitted work

Project Manager checks individual entry outcomes and the weekly submission. The weekly approval also tests the submission revision.

Investigate exceptions

Delivery Lead uses failed receipts and blocked task lists when a review cannot complete cleanly.

Choose a worker assigned to two projects. Record a day against each project and create a weekly submission under one package. Ask the project manager to explain which entries the weekly record covers before approval. If the naming is unclear, agree a consistent package and organization choice for weekly review. Submit a valid entry and inspect its decision and receipt. Then attempt to approve a weekly submission with invalid hours and confirm it remains Submitted with a failed receipt. This rehearsal gives the team a concrete rule for mixed work before the regular weekly cycle begins.
