- Who it's for
- Private distribution fleets
Private distribution fleets
A private distribution fleet often has the same people coordinating maintenance and daily deliveries. Clear responsibilities matter when a tire issue interrupts a planned load. Tire Inspector records the condition, Maintenance Reviewer decides the work, and Dispatcher establishes which vehicle and driver can cover the intended interval.
How Tire Management is set up for you
Preserve the observed position
Keep each dated tire observation so a later rotation does not replace the earlier position history. Confirm the relevant vehicle through the load assignment, especially when equipment is substituted before the inspection reaches review.
Review the whole vehicle
Fleet Coordinator considers defect severity, repair evidence and readiness before Dispatcher commits equipment. A tire task marked Completed is useful evidence, but the fleet team still reviews other reported conditions affecting the vehicle.
Keep the original commitment
Record actual pickup and delivery against the promised delivery time. A maintenance delay should remain explainable after the load is delivered. Use stop evidence to identify the affected handoff rather than changing the promise retrospectively.

Tire Inspector records the condition, Maintenance Reviewer decides the work, and Dispatcher establishes which vehicle and driver can cover the intended interval.
Choose an operating organization and a delivery cycle with equipment that staff can identify directly. Load the current vehicle and driver information, then prepare a tire inspection using a known serial and position. Name a Maintenance Reviewer who did not prepare that inspection and agree the evidence needed for a decision.
Rehearse a rotation, a rejected request and a load reassigned while an inspection is still under review. Check that the observation still describes the tire and vehicle actually inspected. Finish with a failed completion receipt and ask Operations Analyst to reconcile the physical work before another request is issued. Expand only after the maintenance and dispatch handoffs are clear to both shifts.

Record tire identity, tread depth and position before asking for a maintenance decision.
Fleet readiness
Review vehicle condition and driver eligibility before dispatch commits the equipment to a load.
Load coordination
Keep tire work connected to the load, assigned resources and promised delivery window.
