Inspection to submission

Prepare a traceable tire observation and hand the exact inspection to the independent reviewer.

Step by step

  1. Confirm the operating context Tire Inspector

Tire Inspector checks the organization and parent load with Dispatcher. Follow the relevant assignment to the vehicle being inspected. A substituted vehicle needs particular attention so the observation describes the equipment actually present.

    • Establish the load and relevant vehicle context
    • Updates Organizations, Loads, Load assignments, Vehicles
  2. Identify and measure Tire Inspector

Tire Inspector records the tire serial, inspection date, position and tread depth while the inspection is Draft. Use the agreed measurement unit and position wording. Keep prior observations available when the same serial has appeared at another position.

    • Record the dated tire observation in Draft
    • Updates Tire inspections
  3. Check the supporting evidence Tire Inspector

Tire Inspector attaches the relevant file to the parent load with a meaningful title and evidence type. Confirm that the evidence identifies this tire and observation. Review its visibility before another team or partner is given access.

    • Retain a load-linked file for the observation
    • Updates Record attachments, Loads
  4. Submit the inspection Tire Inspector

Tire Inspector checks the recorded scope and moves the inspection to Submitted for Maintenance Reviewer. The submitted revision becomes the basis of the decision. Submission requests review; it does not authorize physical rotation or replacement.

    • Present the frozen Submitted revision for review
    • Updates Tire inspections

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • A copied serial points to a different tire even though the load is correct.
  • A later vehicle assignment is mistaken for the equipment inspected earlier.
  • A reading arrives without a clear unit, or an absent reading is entered as zero.
  • The attachment belongs to another maintenance case on the same load.
