How do I get started?
Click Get started, then use Proto to configure TMS for Trucking and Road Carriers for your business. Begin with an operating company, a recurring lane and a representative load. Include its driver assignment, delivery confirmation and statement so the team can rehearse the full handoff.
How does a load reach dispatch?
Dispatcher prepares the lane, requested units and stop sequence, then sends the load to Review. Transport Manager approves or rejects the current plan. Dispatcher chooses the driver and vehicle and checks readiness before confirming and dispatching the assignment.
Can we keep standard lanes?
Yes. Standard lane records describe the origin, destination, distance and planned duration. Agree a consistent lane name when preparing loads, and confirm each load’s actual stops and departure promise during planning.
How do we handle an unavailable truck?
Fleet Manager records its readiness and reviews defects, inspections and service work. Dispatcher uses that condition when selecting equipment, holds an unresolved assignment or chooses a suitable replacement, and records the availability check.
What evidence supports delivery completion?
Delivery Coordinator records the receiving stop, delivered time and receiver, with signature evidence where available. Captured proof is checked and marked Verified or Disputed. Dispatcher reconciles the stops and evidence before recording the load as Executed.
How are freight charges tracked?
Settlement Clerk records each charge against the load with its type, amount and currency. Linehaul and additional charges can be reviewed separately. Billing states follow the reviewed charge and confirmed accounting outcomes through invoicing and collection.
Who approves a driver settlement?
A Settlement Approver independently reviews the submitted revision and completed-load evidence. The decision retains the authorization time and review outcome. Settlement Clerk prepares the statement and later reconciles its external settlement reference.
When is a settlement complete?
Approval authorizes the statement for the external payment process. Settlement Clerk records Completed after reconciling the confirmed result and settlement reference. Uncertain or failed operational outcomes remain visible for investigation.
Can we connect our tracking and accounting tools?
Set up the selected telematics, driver application, accounting or payment connection with an agreed source owner and identifier mapping. Rehearse repeated events and uncertain outcomes before enabling regular transfers. See integrations for the handoffs to agree.
What should we prepare for the pilot?
Bring current company and staff records, partner contacts, driver eligibility and fleet condition. Choose a load with its delivery evidence and statement, plus examples of a changed destination and an unresolved defect. Review implementation with the dispatch and settlement owners.
