Booking to departure

From an enquiry to a confirmed departure.

Step by step

  1. Book tour Dispatcher

The dispatcher records the customer, package, departure date and number of travellers. The whole booking is checked first, and a repeat from the same source is rejected.

    • Enquiry recorded
    • Updates Tour bookings, Tour packages, Parties
  2. Reserve Dispatcher

The booking moves from enquiry to reserved when your reservation rule is met, such as a deposit received.

    • Booking reserved
    • Updates Tour bookings
  3. Confirm booking Dispatcher

The dispatcher confirms the reservation before departure. A failure, rejection or cancellation is recorded with its reason.

    • Booking confirmed or cancelled with reason
    • Updates Tour bookings
  4. Plan the departure Dispatcher

Confirmed travellers for the date show in the departures list for trip planning.

    • Travellers counted for the trip
    • Updates Tour bookings, Trips

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • The same booking arrives twice from a partner and the group is counted double.
  • A cancellation erases the booking, so the pipeline loses track of lost sales.
  • A booking is confirmed for more travellers than the vehicle can take.
