How the model is organised

Shipment planning:

Shipments2, shipment items2, shipment legs2, Stops2, Loads2 and load shipments2 retain cargo, legs, stop order and load membership.

Rates and carrier agreements:

Carriers2, carrier contacts2, carrier services2, Lanes2, rate contracts2, rate matrix2, Accessorials2, accessorial rates2 and renewal reminders retain the commercial and renewal context.

Carrier tendering:

Tendering2 and EDI messages2 connect each shipment offer to its carrier response and local exchange records.

Tracking and exceptions:

Tracking providers2, tracking events2, Exceptions2 and Detentions2 retain provider configuration, movement history, operational issues and waiting-time proof.

Proof of delivery:

Proof of delivery2 connects recipient and document evidence to Shipments2. Hazmat shipments2 retains hazardous-freight details for the shipping review.

Freight audit and disputes:

Freight invoices2, freight invoice lines2, freight audit results2 and Disputes2 trace billed amounts to the expected charge and carrier follow-up. Users2 holds user metadata.

Keys and references

Keep Shipment and Shipment2, and Status and Status2, distinct when assigning import sources. Match the actual field identity to the rate, tender and tracking action that uses it. Reconcile references with the original business record before starting a new operating cycle.

Retain the actual Id, Id2 or ID identity fields from each table and use stable source identifiers in the import mapping. Shipment number, contract number and invoice number explain business documents; do not assume their uniqueness is enforced by the platform. Tendering2 links outbound and inbound EDI messages2, and disputes link the specific freight invoice line rather than only the invoice header.

Retain the responsible-person values in assigned to, filed by, reviewed by and approved by with the event they describe. Review the numeric representation of variance amount, variance percent and shipment weight lb before aggregation. Keep the exact Currency and Currency2 choices associated with their imported amounts.

Migration order

  1. Reconcile Users2 and the configured access accounts without inferring permissions from a Role select value.
  2. Load Carriers2, carrier contacts2, carrier services2, Lanes2, Accessorials2 and tracking providers2 with stable reference mappings.
  3. Load rate contracts2, then rate matrix2 and accessorial rates2. Confirm terms, bands, currency and workflow field identity.
  4. Load Shipments2, shipment items2, shipment legs2 and Stops2, then Loads2 and load shipments2 and the applicable hazmat shipments2.
  5. Load linked tender, tracking, exception, detention and proof history with EDI messages2 references resolved deliberately; avoid replaying historical delivery events as new workflow triggers.
  6. Load freight invoices2 and freight invoice lines2 before audit results and disputes. Reconcile renewal reminders against actual contract terms and agree the reminder schedule and notification connection during setup.
  7. Rehearse live triggers with a controlled new shipment and invoice, comparing resulting records with the original source evidence before broad imports.
