How the model is organised

Organization and people

Organizations contain Policyholders and team members; Users can be linked to team members.

Policy work

Policies link the organization, policyholder and owner. Policy coverages, policy endorsements and trip coverage reviews attach to a policy.

Review evidence

Review decisions, operation receipts and record attachments retain policy-related decisions, external results and files.

Financial and claim records

Premium receipts attach to policies; Claims attach to policies, claim decisions to claims, and claim payments to both claims and decisions.

Keys and references

The policy record number identifies the operating case while its references determine the organization, owner and counterparty. The claim claim number identifies the reported loss and its Policy reference identifies the policy being assessed. A trip review and a review decision both point to the policy; source revision on the decision records the version considered. Provider event ID on a premium receipt or claim payment identifies the external event checked by staff. Operation key and expected revision identify the attempted policy operation. These keys help staff reconcile a retry without replacing the earlier observation.

Migration order

  1. Import Organizations, then Users and team members for the operating team.
  2. Import Policyholders under the correct organization.
  3. Import Policies with their owner and counterparty, then policy coverages and policy endorsements.
  4. Import trip coverage reviews and policy-linked review decisions, operation receipts and record attachments.
  5. Import premium receipts under their policies.
  6. Import Claims under the relevant policies, followed by claim decisions and claim payments with both required links.
