Step by step

1. Review policy terms Policy Operations

   Policy Operations checks the policyholder, organization, owner, dates, premium and coverage lines on the current policy revision.

   • Confirm the customer and current terms
   • Updates Policies, Policy coverages, Policyholders

2. Check the offer decision Offer Reviewer

   Offer Reviewer confirms that the trip review decision applies to the submitted version and that the recorded reason supports acceptance. The reviewer owns the decision to approve the offer.

   • Confirm decision and source revision
   • Updates Trip coverage reviews, Review decisions
   ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.

3. Confirm with the carrier Policy Operations

   Policy Operations compares the carrier response with the quote and policy terms. If an operation receipt shows a failure or needs review, Admin resolves that exception before issue details are recorded.

   • Reconcile action result and external reference
   • Updates Operation receipts, Policies

4. Record issuance Policy Operations

   Policy Operations enters the carrier policy identifier and issue date and moves the policy from under review to Issued under the team's release procedure.

   • Record carrier policy ID and issued at; set Status to Issued
   • Updates Policies

5. Monitor the effective period Policy Operations

   Policy Operations follows the effective and expiry dates and the policy status. Later changes are recorded as endorsements with an effective date, reason and carrier receipt.

   • Track term and approved changes
   • Updates Policies, Policy endorsements

Policy Operations

Prepares and records the policy; Offer Reviewer decides on the submitted offer; Admin handles operation exceptions.
