Event day to completion

Run the event, or record a cancellation or no-show, and close the booking.

Step by step

  1. Host event Booking Coordinator

On the day the coordinator records arrival, moving the booking to in progress.

    • Booking in progress
    • Updates Bookings
  2. Complete Booking Coordinator

When the event ends the coordinator completes the booking with the actual completion time.

    • Booking completed with actual time
    • Updates Bookings
  3. Cancel or record no-show Booking Coordinator

If the event does not go ahead, the coordinator cancels it or records a no-show under the cancellation policy and the actual timing. Reserved capacity is released exactly once.

    • Booking cancelled or no-show; capacity released
    • Updates Bookings, Booking resources, Operation receipts
  4. Correct scope Booking Coordinator or Package Reviewer

Draft scope that never ran is cancelled and its claims released; scope that already ran is changed only through a reviewer-approved correction.

    • Scope corrected with approval
    • Updates Bookings, Review decisions

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • A no-show is recorded as a cancellation and the refund policy is applied wrongly.
  • A cancelled booking still holds the hall and blocks a new enquiry.
  • The completion time is left blank and turnaround cannot be measured.
