How a Warehouse Labor Management rollout works
Set up warehouse scope, rehearse labor decisions and move into the first operating cycle.
Map the operation
Choose organizations, active assets, zones, staff names and the first set of work orders.
Prepare ownership
Assign an owner and due date to each job; confirm planned hours and organization references.
Rehearse assignment review
Submit coverage, record an approval and a rejection, then check the decision reason and source revision.
Rehearse evidence and acceptance
Record actual hours, add a supporting file, investigate an exception receipt and accept a finished job.
Start a controlled cycle
Review open queues and reporting with the shift team, then expand to the next site or zone.
What the customer provides
Provide the organization and asset codes, the team roster, zone names, staffing conventions and an example shift. Bring a real work order whose planned and actual hours can be checked, along with a source record that explains the actual time. Name the people who will submit assignments, review them and accept completed work. Include a sample internal file and shared file for the access rehearsal.
Changing it afterwards
Review changes to zone names, worker naming and site ownership with the people who operate the shifts. Check open work orders before retiring an asset or changing a team member’s organization. When a review rule changes, rehearse it against a submitted assignment and an earlier decision record. Keep prior evidence and receipts attached to their original parent jobs so later changes do not obscure what happened.
