What you can do

Make the decision specific

A review decision identifies the measured property, its source revision, reviewer, decision time and evidence reference. Pending work can become Approved, Returned or Rejected. This gives the team a precise answer to a common question: which version of the source did the reviewer actually accept? A decision for one revision should not be treated as permission for a later change to the same property.

Evidence documents keep a title, attachment, document date, external reference and verification state. A verifier is linked to each document. Follow-up actions capture an assigned person, due date, status, completion time and resolution. Together these records let the Analytics Lead see what was reviewed, what still needs action and who has the next decision.

How the work is organized

  • Revision decision. The reviewer records the source revision and decision rather than a general comment.
  • Supporting evidence. Verification and external references help explain the decision later.
  • Corrective action. Assigned work stays tied to the property until completed or cancelled.

What to agree during setup

Agree which collection cases need independent approval and who may make that decision. Set a convention for the evidence reference so a colleague can find the supporting record. Decide what a Returned decision asks the Analyst to correct and what a Rejected decision closes. The reviewer should be able to examine the facts, source revision and operation result before acting.

Give each follow-up a clear owner and due date. An Open action tells the owner what remains. In progress shows someone is working it. Completed needs a resolution that explains the outcome. Cancelled should remain understandable rather than disappearing from the property history. These states keep the overview’s overdue queue useful to the next shift.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Suppose a source reports a higher conversion count than its accepted session facts appear to support. The Reviewer opens the property and its collection run, checks the facts and the source revision, and records a Returned decision with a reason. The Property Owner receives a follow-up action to examine the source reference. After the Analyst resolves the discrepancy, the Reviewer examines the corrected evidence before recording an Approved decision for the appropriate revision.

The Analytics Lead should then compare the decision, run and displayed result. If the result still reflects an earlier source, leave the follow-up open and investigate the recorded operation. Marking the review complete cannot itself repair a calculation or change a previously recorded observation.

What your team sees

  • Review Inbox — Find pending decisions with their source revision and reviewer.
  • Decisions by Revision — Read the recorded outcome and reason for prior reviews.
  • Follow-up Queue — Track open corrective work and due dates.

Follow the work through

Use review and publish to check the release decision and collect sessions to inspect its input.
