How a Wind Farm Management rollout works

Start with one site's events, maintenance and meter data, then add production review.

  1. Agree the operating boundary

The system holds sites, turbines, meters, readings, energy intervals, production intervals, events, maintenance tasks and tariffs. Turbine control, SCADA, settlement and spare parts stay in connected systems. Your team decides maintenance approvals and how availability is counted.

  2. Map the source data

Agree stable site names, turbine numbers and meter numbers, each meter's reading mode and unit, and each site's timezone. Load open events and tasks, current tariffs and one period of readings.

  3. Configure a bounded pilot

Pilot one site: run events and maintenance live for a month and build validated energy for the same month.

  4. Rehearse the exceptions

A duplicate meter reading must not create a second energy interval. An invalid reading must become rejected coverage rather than zero energy. An event cannot be resolved without its real end time, and maintenance cannot start before approval.

  5. Reconcile and release

Compare validated energy with the meter operator's figures and event history with shift records. Get sign-off from the site manager and agree the rollback window before cut-over.

What the customer provides

  • Site list with locations and timezones, and turbines with rated capacity and commissioning dates.
  • Meter list with meter numbers, units and reading modes, and recent meter readings.
  • Current and past tariffs with effective dates.
  • Open events, open maintenance work and the people who will use the system.

Changing it afterwards

Use Proto to prepare changes on a branch. Review changed fields, permissions and reports with the site manager and replay the pilot’s exception cases before release. Past events, intervals and tariffs keep the rules that applied when they were recorded.
