Maintenance approval and completion

From a raised maintenance task to approved, completed work on site.

Step by step

  1. Raise the task Operations Engineer or Site Manager

The operations engineer or site manager raises a maintenance task on the site with a description, the person assigned and a due date. Tasks raised from an event stay on the event's site.

    • Task open on the site
    • Updates Maintenance tasks, Sites, People
  2. Approve the task Site Manager

The site manager approves the work once access, weather and people are confirmed.

    • Task approved
    • Updates Maintenance tasks
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  3. Start the work Maintenance Technician

The assigned technician moves the task to in progress when work begins.

    • Task in progress
    • Updates Maintenance tasks
  4. Complete the task Maintenance Technician

The technician completes the task and records the completion date.

    • Task completed with its date
    • Updates Maintenance tasks
  5. Change or cancel future work Site Manager

A change or cancellation applies only to work that has not been accepted yet; accepted work keeps its history.

    • Future work changed; history kept
    • Updates Maintenance tasks

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Work starts on an open task that was never approved.
  • A task is completed without a completion date, so overdue work cannot be measured.
  • A cancelled job is deleted, and the reason a turbine stayed down is lost.
