Turbine production review

Record turbine production intervals and review them before they are used in performance figures.

Step by step

  1. Record the interval Operations Engineer

The operations engineer records a production interval for the turbine with its start, end, energy, wind speed and available minutes. The interval is attributed to the person who entered it.

    • Interval stored and attributed
    • Updates Turbine intervals, Turbines
  2. Submit the evidence Operations Engineer

The recorded interval goes to the performance reviewer as evidence, and the submission is recorded.

    • Evidence sent for review
    • Updates Turbine intervals
  3. Review the interval Performance Reviewer

The performance reviewer compares energy with wind speed and availability, checks it against open events for the same period, and approves the outcome.

    • Review outcome recorded
    • Updates Turbine intervals, Operational events
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  4. Correct with new evidence Operations Engineer

If a figure is wrong, a correction is added as later evidence for the same turbine. The original interval is kept as it was.

    • Correction added; original kept
    • Updates Turbine intervals

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • A correction overwrites the original figure, and nobody can see what was first reported to the owner.
  • Low energy is accepted without checking the wind speed, hiding a turbine fault.
  • A curtailed turbine is counted as unavailable, which understates availability.
