What you can do
Make a financial decision explainable later
A reviewer needs to know which document revision was considered and why it was accepted or returned. Accounting Reviewer records the decision with a reason, time and their own identity. Supporting attachments stay connected to the document with an uploader and visibility setting, so the team can locate the material behind that decision.
Execution has its own evidence. An operation receipt carries the action, stable operation key, expected revision and recorded outcome. The effect references identify what the action actually changed. Operations Overview brings review decisions and failed operations into daily attention alongside document value and ledger balance.
How the work is organized
- Preserve the decision. Keep the reviewed revision with the actual reviewer and reason. A returned document needs correction before renewed review. The independent decision remains identifiable even when later work changes the document or produces a compensating effect.
- Inspect the operation. Locate the receipt for the action before retrying an interrupted request. Compare the expected revision with the reviewed scope and inspect its effect references. Pending or failed work needs investigation before the team can call the action completed.
- Retain supporting material. Attach evidence to the intended document and choose its visibility deliberately. Keep the uploader and upload date available for review. Shared visibility still needs an agreed audience and access rules for the underlying client records.
What to agree during setup
Agree who reviews operational exceptions and who may execute a retry after the cause is understood. Decide what evidence supports each completion decision and where any external acknowledgement will be retained. A provider is consulted when that operation actually used one; locally completed work should be checked against its own persisted effects.
Choose attachment visibility and audit access with the people responsible for client information. Test that Auditor can read authorized history without changing records or running actions. Confirm that App Administrator can maintain membership without acquiring an independent financial reviewer entitlement.
Check the handoff on an actual case
An invoicing action appears to stop before the preparer receives a result. Open the receipt using the original operation key and inspect the saved effect references. If the effect already exists, compare it with the reviewed parent and revision before retrying. The same request must not produce another financial effect.
For a second case, let an operation report completion while its expected local effect cannot be found. Reconciliation must keep the discrepancy visible for review. Ask Accounting Reviewer to trace the parent document, decision and evidence, then explain what remains unresolved. Changing a label cannot replace that missing result.
Rehearse a correction after accepted work as well. Preserve the original receipt and source identity, obtain the required reviewer decision and follow the compensating effect. Auditor should be able to explain the original outcome and the correction from the record history alone.
What your team sees
- Operations needing attention — Investigate pending actions, failures and outcomes needing review.
- Review decision history — Trace decisions to the reviewer and document revision.
- My supporting attachments — Check the evidence uploaded by the signed-in preparer.
Follow the work through
Use corrections and completion when a result is uncertain. Revisit document review and posting when the reviewed revision changes.
