How an Agro Commodity Brokerage rollout works
Start with your main clients and a month of deals, and prove the commission against your old program.
Define ownership
Name the Brokerage Owner, brokers and accounts staff, set each broker’s monthly target and agree who may move a deal to Delivered.
Load masters and rate cards
Load commodities, brokers and clients with credit days, then each client’s rate cards by side and commodity, activated by the Brokerage Owner.
Rehearse the desk
Price a trade in the calculator, book it, move it through delivery, record payments and print the client statement.
Prove the commission
Book a closed month already charged in the old program and compare every client’s commission; explain each difference.
Go live
Book new deals in the system, import open commission and receipts, and start recording mandi prices for the trends.
What the customer provides
Bring the client list with each client’s brokerage terms and credit days, the commodity list, the brokers and their targets, deals in progress, last month’s commission from the current program, outstanding brokerage by client, and the mandis followed for each commodity. Name who activates rate cards.
Changing it afterwards
Change a client’s terms with a new rate card and an end date on the old one, so past commission does not change. Add a commodity before its first deal. Rehearse any change to the commission rules on a closed month before using it on live deals. See the roles and data model.
