How a Approval Management System rollout works
Pilot a request type with a known policy, real evidence and named decision owners.
Agree the first request
Choose a request type and participating business unit. Name Request Owner, Approval Coordinator and Approver, then define the supporting evidence and any independent review required before the decision.
Prepare identity and policy
Load the business unit and people records, confirm account mapping and configure the effective route. Rehearse the ordered approver selection, delegation expiry handling and SLA due-date meaning with the policy owner.
Map existing work
Preserve request numbers, source identifiers and revisions. Import parent records before decisions and evidence. Load operation runs before their steps, then reconcile separate execution attempts using the original operation context.
Rehearse the decision
Submit a request, resolve its route, verify the evidence and record the eligible decision. Test a changed revision and an ineligible person. Inspect the decision entry and the resulting operation and state history together.
Rehearse recovery
Investigate an uncertain execution result and assign follow-up. Correct an executed request, inspect its successor revision and return it to review. Confirm that earlier evidence remains accessible throughout the correction.
Review and release
Reconcile the pilot requests with their sources and have the named owners accept their responsibilities. Confirm ordinary account access and any destination connection before expanding to more request types.
What the customer provides
- The approval policy, eligible approver order and delegation expiry expectations.
- Business unit codes, currency context and the staff who prepare and review requests.
- Representative request amounts with supporting documents and source identifiers.
- Open requests, earlier decisions and execution references needed for the migration.
- The owner of each connection and examples of a successful or uncertain result.
Changing it afterwards
Use Proto to prepare a route, mapping or permission change for review. Replay the affected request and correction cases before release. Preserve the route context of earlier decisions and the history of executed revisions. A changed business request follows the correction process and returns to review with its successor context.
