How a Assembly Line Tracking rollout works

Rehearse a complete assembly cycle before expanding the operating scope.

  1. Agree the pilot

Choose a familiar assembly product and the customer order it will serve. Name the planner, operator and quality reviewer who will follow it through to finished stock.

  2. Prepare identities

Admin checks user access and people links. Production Planner prepares items, customer and supplier records, and stations with meaningful availability and capacity.

  3. Prepare the route and stock

Set the product sequence and target takt. Reconcile the component lot balances and agree how the material action selects stock when a lot spans locations.

  4. Test production release

Prepare Draft work with the intended product, order, resource and dates. Rehearse refused release conditions, then release the corrected work and confirm the operator can find it.

  5. Capture and reconcile

Process serial station passes, post and reverse a material issue, and end a production interval. Quality Reviewer releases accepted Pending output. Production Planner checks finished inventory and completed work.

  6. Expand the operating scope

Add further products after the pilot's identity, access and posting checks are understood. Configure external connections with their own reconciliation owner and rehearsal.

What the customer provides

Bring the actual product and station names, route sequences, target takt conventions and component lot balances. Provide the people who will operate the pilot and their sign-in identities. Agree who approves demand, who maintains station availability and how the reviewer identifies the physical output presented for acceptance.

Changing it afterwards

Review route or target changes with the floor before the next run. Rehearse changes to posting or release behavior using the same acceptance and refusal cases from the pilot. Keep the effect on existing work and stock explicit, and reconcile the first operating cycle after the change. Get started lists the inputs for the initial setup.
