What you can do
Make station movement reviewable
Production Operator records the unit serial, station and entry and exit times for a station pass. The disposition says whether that pass ended as Pass, Rework or Reject. This gives the floor a specific record to discuss when a unit needs attention at a particular bench.
Process Station Pass validates the selected record, station, serial, time interval and disposition. It rejects invalid or duplicate identities before saving the pass and refreshing the linked station listing. Operators can correct a refused entry without creating a second account of the same movement.
How the work is organized
- Serial identity. The serial identifies the physical unit being handled. Production Operator checks it at the station so a later discussion can start from the correct unit rather than a shift-wide total.
- Station interval. Entry and exit times describe the recorded stay at that station. The operator uses a consistent time convention, and Production Planner reviews unusual durations with the person who recorded the work.
- Outcome. Pass, Rework and Reject keep different station outcomes visible. Quality Reviewer reads the station evidence alongside production output when preparing the batch release decision.
What to agree during setup
Agree how serials will be entered and how the team recognizes an existing pass. If scanners will supply serials, configure that connection and rehearse its submission behavior. Operators should know what to do after an uncertain submission so that a retry does not become another pass for the same event.
Define when entry and exit are recorded. A station interval is useful only when the floor applies the same operating convention. Discuss waiting at the bench and interrupted work before reading elapsed time as processing time. Decide who follows the Rework Queue and how the next operator learns that a unit needs another action.
Keep the station review grounded in serial movement. Use the separate production interval to discuss output by work order and operator. At shift handover, the planner brings the relevant records together and asks the floor to explain any difference between unit movement and reported production.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Use a sample serial such as ASM-104 at the fitting station. Record its entry and exit and mark the outcome Rework. Submit the pass, locate it in Rework Queue and ask the next operator to identify the physical unit and station from that record alone. If they need an informal nickname to find the bench, correct the resource naming during setup.
Repeat the same pass identity to check the duplicate refusal. Then try an exit time earlier than entry and confirm that the invalid record is refused before writes. Correct the interval and process it through the agreed capture procedure. Review the accepted record with Quality Reviewer so everyone understands what a station disposition contributes to the later output decision.
What your team sees
- Station Pass Review — Serial movements with station, interval and disposition on the same row.
- Rework Queue — Passes marked Rework for the floor’s follow-up discussion.
Follow the work through
Use Capture station and production evidence for serial capture, then Review and release output for the batch decision.
