What you can do
Keep the operating record clear
A seasonal collection has a discount code with a start date, end date and minimum subtotal. An applied discount links the rule to the order or line where it was used. Separately, an abandoned basket identifies a shopper who left before purchase. Session source and campaign fields help the marketing owner understand how that visit began.
Marketing Manager checks a discount rule’s dates, scope, minimum and target before a shopper uses its code. Applied discounts connect a rule to a sale order or line. Abandoned basket and session records show where a visit began and whether it became a purchase; Customer Service Rep handles review moderation.
How the work is organized
- Offer. Check a code’s active window, scope and eligibility before using it on a basket.
- Follow-up. Link the abandoned basket, bidder and recovery stage to any later sale order.
- Review. Keep a pending lot review in the moderation queue until Customer Service Rep records a decision.
What to agree during setup
Agree which codes can combine and which catalog or shopper they target. Decide who reviews message templates and consent before an email provider is connected. Treat the email evidence row as an operational record and verify real delivery with the provider. Set review moderation responsibility before publishing shopper comments.
During the pilot, assign the exception owner and record the decision on the related order or catalog. Check the next handoff against the saved status, date and linked records before more staff start using the process.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Try a basket below the code minimum and one that qualifies. Compare applied amount and scope with the sale order. Then inspect an abandoned basket, its recovery stage and any associated email record. Confirm that a pending lot review stays in the moderation queue until service has made a decision.
Use the same case to rehearse access. Have the next owner explain the saved record, perform the permitted action and show the resulting status to the following owner. Correct a broken handoff before expanding the pilot.
