Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Bug Tracking System for your business. Identify the Project Manager, Developer and independent QA Engineer who will run the pilot. Ask Admin to confirm their access and the team-member identity used by personal work views.

Prepare the first operating cycle

Choose a project with a representative defect and an agreed expected result. Bring the reporter notes, severity definition and corrective work-package scope. Create a task that carries the issue key in its description and agree the evidence QA will retain during verification.

Prepare a dated time entry for the corrective effort and a milestone affected by the work. Use implementation to agree record mappings and any external evidence connections before beginning the rehearsal.

Review before release

Run successful triage and a missing-severity failure. Rehearse a successful fix assessment and a failed retest that remains unverified. Submit positive hours, then test invalid hours and an entry in the wrong state. Inspect the resulting receipts and actual source records.

Confirm that evidence references identify the correct task or defect and that the reviewer can open the files. Review the milestone and work-package acceptance independently of the defect’s closure. Resolve unclear identity or ownership before introducing the wider team.
