What you can do
Give the reviewer a specific excursion to assess
Inventory Clerk records a temperature excursion against the affected stock request. The sensor reference, start, peak temperature in Fahrenheit and duration describe the observation being reviewed. Inventory Supervisor can use that context with the parent request to assess the next action. Supporting documents remain available through the request’s attachments when the review requires them.
The excursion starts as Draft and is submitted for a decision. The person who created it cannot approve or reject it. Each accepted action raises the revision. If another reviewer has already decided the excursion, an attempt using the earlier submitted revision is refused. The next person checks the current state before taking any further action.
How the work is organized
- Excursion preparation. Inventory Clerk confirms the parent request and records the sensor context. Use the actual observation details so the reviewer can understand which stock action and operating period are involved.
- Independent decision. A permitted Inventory Supervisor reviews the Submitted excursion and approves or rejects it. The action checks the current revision and refuses a decision made by the excursion’s creator.
- Approved completion. Inventory Clerk completes the Approved excursion through the supported action. The team separately reviews the lot’s release state and the authorization for the associated stock request.
What to agree during setup
Agree which observation source supplies the sensor reference, peak and duration. If readings arrive from a monitoring system, configure that connection and map the source’s units before bringing excursion evidence into the review. Identify the person who can clarify an observation when the recorded context is incomplete.
Confirm the reviewer responsibility and test it with distinct accounts. The creator rule concerns the actual person who created the record, even when that person can perform other supervisory work. Agree which request attachments are needed for a decision and how the team follows an approved excursion into completion. Review the related stock eligibility as its own operating decision.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Choose an excursion affecting a lot awaiting a room move. Inventory Clerk records the sensor reference and observed peak with its duration, links the request and submits it. Have the same person attempt the decision. The action should refuse that attempt and leave the excursion available for a permitted independent reviewer.
Have independent reviewers open the same submitted revision. Inventory Supervisor approves it in the first session; the other permitted reviewer then attempts rejection using the older revision. Confirm that this stale attempt is refused and the approved decision remains intact. Complete the Approved record using its current revision. Auditor should be able to follow the excursion state and parent request, while Inventory Supervisor reviews the lot’s eligibility separately.
