What you can do

Keep kitchen work visible

Service tasks attach to a kitchen, a booking and an assigned team member. They identify Cleaning, Maintenance or Client Service work, with a due date, completion date and status. Front Desk Agent records and updates assigned work. Property Manager sees whether a kitchen needs attention before another client arrives. The booking link explains why the task exists, while the kitchen link shows its facility impact.

A task may be Open, Assigned, in progress or Completed. These values separate work identified from work underway. A Completed task can carry a completion date for handoff review. Kitchen status gives a separate signal: the kitchen can be Cleaning or Maintenance while staff resolve work and Available after it is ready.

How the work is organized

  • Task assignment. Tie each job to a team member and due date.
  • Source context. Preserve booking and kitchen links for review.
  • Readiness review. Use task completion and kitchen status before offering the space.

What to agree during setup

Agree who creates tasks, who assigns them, and how due dates are set. Team Members records link a person to a platform user and show whether the person is active. Review assignments when staff change or when a task remains Open near a booking start. Property Manager owns the decision to change kitchen status after cleaning or maintenance.

Write down the inspection evidence expected before a kitchen returns to Available. A completed cleaning task describes work done. Property Manager’s readiness decision determines the kitchen state. If an external inspection system is used, connect its result to the handoff; staff should know where to find the result before offering the space.

Check the handoff on an actual case

A confirmed booking ends and the kitchen needs cleaning. Front Desk Agent creates a Cleaning task for the kitchen and booking, assigns a team member and sets a due date. The assignee follows it from Open through Assigned and in progress to Completed, entering the completion date. Property Manager reviews the work and the kitchen’s Cleaning state before making it Available for the next client.

If equipment needs attention, a Maintenance task can be created against the same kitchen and relevant booking. Property Manager sees the kitchen in Maintenance and avoids treating an open interval as usable capacity. The service history stays connected to the kitchen and booking that exposed the issue.

What your team sees

  • Assigned Service Tasks — Assigned work with due date and current state.
  • Open Service Tasks — Cleaning, maintenance and client service work still active.
  • Kitchen Availability — Kitchen state to review before another confirmation.

Follow the work through

Follow service and reset from task assignment through the kitchen readiness review.
