Healthcare sites

A healthcare site can have multiple areas and trade scopes under one project. The project identifies the site and responsible owner; each work package defines the scope that a crew will deliver. The punch item carries the defect, assigned member and status, while a site photo can be attached to the record the inspector will review.

How Construction Punch List is set up for you

Site identity

Use a stable project code and primary contact so teams working in different areas refer to the same site.

Work scope

Separate packages when different managers, budgets or delivery dates need independent review.

Correction record

Assign each punch item to the responsible trade member and package before sign-off.

Billing trail

Use task and payment records to follow closeout amounts and collection exceptions.

A healthcare site can have multiple areas and trade scopes under one project. The project identifies the site and responsible owner; each work package defines the scope that a crew will deliver. The punch item carries the defect, assigned member and status, while a site photo can be attached to the record the inspector will review.

Choose a bounded area, such as a completed reception renovation, and create one active project with a finish-work package. The superintendent records a damaged panel as a punch item, adds its reported date and assigns the correcting foreman. The foreman logs hours and attaches a site photo. The inspector checks the work before the superintendent submits the item. If it is billable, has hours and belongs to the package, the sign-off workflow moves it to Approved and records both a decision and a receipt.

Use a task under the same work package to rehearse billing. Give it a due date, owner and amount. Once approved, the task invoice action checks its package and amount, then moves it to Invoiced with a receipt. A payment record holds the invoice number and due date. The Owner uses the overdue or disputed list to decide which cases need collection follow-up.

Agree how site locations appear in descriptions in the punch item description so crews and reviewers can locate the correction. Ask the team to test two similar findings and confirm each photo stays linked to the right parent record. This helps the inspector review the correction actually made. Keep the pilot focused on a scope whose project manager can reconcile the package totals and task payments.
