What you can do

Carry the accepted furniture scope into the next system

Customer acceptance identifies the quote revision the team can hand off. The Quote Specialist checks the accepted quote and its lines before requesting the downstream action. The handoff uses that accepted scope and records an operation receipt so the team can distinguish a request from a confirmed result.

The order destination is a connection to set up with your business. Agree which system receives the accepted quote and what response counts as a successful handoff. If no connection exists, the operation remains Pending. The team can still see the accepted quote, but it cannot treat a pending receipt as evidence that an order has been created elsewhere.

How the work is organized

  • Select accepted scope. Request handoff for an Accepted quote with the expected revision. The action checks the accepted state and preserves the accepted furniture lines used for the transfer.
  • Retain the operation identity. A stable handoff key identifies the quote and revision. Repeating the request uses that identity so an uncertain response does not justify creating another independent handoff.
  • Read the actual outcome. Inspect the receipt state and any real external reference. A Pending, Failed or Needs review result requires follow-up before the team relies on completion.

What to agree during setup

Name the downstream order system and the person responsible for its connection. Agree how product codes, quantities and USD amounts map to the destination. Include the room requirement in the handoff discussion so the receiving team understands where to find the finish and required date associated with the accepted scope.

Decide what evidence confirms that the destination accepted the request. An external reference should identify a real result. Agree how the reviewer investigates an unclear response before anyone tries again. Keep credentials and transport settings in the connection setup, with access limited to the people responsible for maintaining them.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Use an accepted conference room quote with an approved room package. Request handoff without a downstream connection and inspect the receipt. It should remain Pending with no invented external order reference. The quote’s Accepted status remains useful evidence of the customer’s decision, even though the downstream work is still unresolved.

After configuring the destination, rehearse a confirmed handoff and inspect the actual response. Repeat the request with the same quote and revision. Confirm that the operation retains its stable identity and does not create another downstream effect. Then test an outdated revision and verify that it cannot replace the accepted scope. The Auditor should be able to follow the evidence without relying on a verbal account of the transfer.

What your team sees

  • Accepted Quotes — Accepted customer scope with the recorded revision, USD value and acceptance date.
  • Receipt Exceptions — Handoff requests whose pending or exception state needs investigation.
  • Completed Room Packages — Room packages whose completion can be checked against persisted evidence.

Follow the work through

Use accepted quote handoff and correction and reconciliation to rehearse successful transfers and uncertain outcomes.
