How a Industrial Automation CPQ rollout works

Prepare customer scope, rehearse compatibility and pricing decisions, and verify the accepted-quote handoff.

  1. Prepare access and customer scope

App Administrator maintains the operating organization, eligible customers and active team membership. Admin prepares user access. Rehearse the specialist's personal work and the reviewer's independent access.

  2. Agree compatibility review

Choose a controller request with protocol, IO points and a required date. Decide what evidence Pricing Reviewer needs and rehearse submission, approval, rejection and completion.

  3. Rehearse quote pricing

Quote Specialist prepares commercial lines with the price book revision and validity date. Calculate expected net amounts separately and compare the pricing result. Test an invalid line and an old revision.

  4. Rehearse commercial decisions

Pricing Reviewer decides the current priced revision. Test Return and Reject alongside Approve. Quote Specialist records valid customer acceptance and rehearses an expired acceptance attempt.

  5. Connect handoff and recovery

Agree the downstream destination and returned reference. Test a missing connection, repeated handoff and conflicting receipt evidence. Rehearse reviewer-authorized compensation for accepted scope before live use.

What the customer provides

Bring the customer register, operating organization details and intended team identities. Supply a representative controller request and the technical evidence used to judge it. Identify authoritative commercial prices, price book revision and the people responsible for pricing review.

Provide the order destination’s connection owner and mapping requirements. Agree customer acceptance evidence, attachment visibility and the investigation routine for unresolved receipts. Use data model for import order and roles for the access rehearsal.

Changing it afterwards

Prepare a changed Draft offer through pricing and review again. Preserve existing decision and operation evidence. Use the authorized correction action for accepted scope, with Pricing Reviewer approving compensation. Rehearse any changed connection mapping before the next operating cycle.
