What you can do

Start the offer with the right customer

Quote Specialist needs a clear customer and selling organization before preparing a device quote. App Administrator maintains the customer account, its contact and address, and the eligibility note used during preparation. The quote then identifies its customer and accountable owner so the pricing discussion has a defined commercial scope.

Team membership connects a person’s account to the organization in which they work. Keep that relationship current when people join, change responsibilities or leave. Pricing Reviewer and Auditor use the authorized organization context when examining quote evidence, while business approval remains with the independent reviewer.

How the work is organized

  • Customer preparation. App Administrator maintains the account code, active choice and eligibility note. Quote Specialist checks those details before selecting the customer on a new quote and brings unclear eligibility wording back to the administrator.
  • Selling scope. The organization records its name, code, time zone and currency. A quote, its customer and its owner need a consistent selling context before the team submits a pricing request.
  • Accountable membership. App Administrator maintains the active team member and role scope linked to the authenticated account. The owner prepares the quote; an independent Pricing Reviewer handles the pricing decision.

What to agree during setup

Agree which selling organization owns the pilot and how customer codes distinguish accounts with similar names. Define what the eligibility note means for commercial preparation and who resolves a disputed account detail. The note should describe the decision the sales team needs to make before preparing an offer.

Check the team member’s account and organization together. Agree the time zone used for validity and decision discussions, especially when the seller and customer work in different locations. Quote amounts and line pricing are expressed in USD; settle that basis before relying on an organization’s currency setting during a commercial review.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Rehearse a device offer for a customer with an active account and a clear eligibility note. App Administrator checks the contact and address, then Quote Specialist opens a Draft quote under the intended selling organization and selects the assigned owner. Ask the specialist to explain why this account is the correct counterparty.

Next, use a customer associated with a different selling organization in the rehearsal. Confirm that the scope check prevents the quote from being priced as if the account belonged to the original organization. Test an inactive team member as well, then restore the correct account-to-member relationship through the administrator. Finish by having Pricing Reviewer identify the quote owner before making an independent decision.

What your team sees
