What you can do

Review the version the customer will receive

Pricing Reviewer considers the submitted quote with its line amounts and supporting evidence. The decision belongs to a specific quote revision. Approve, Reject and Return distinguish permission to proceed from a refusal or a request for further work. The recorded reason explains the review outcome to Quote Specialist.

The review action checks independence, the expected revision and quote validity. A specialist preparing an offer cannot substitute their own approval for the independent decision. A reviewer looking at an older copy must refresh the current work before deciding. These checks keep the decision connected to the version that the team intends to present.

How the work is organized

  • Review scope. Pricing Reviewer opens the quote and confirms its organization, owner and customer. The reviewer then reads the line calculation and attached scope for that revision.
  • Decision evidence. The decision retains the reviewer, source revision, time and reason. Its operation key provides a stable identity when the team needs to inspect or repeat a request safely.
  • Specialist follow-up. Quote Specialist reads the decision history and resolves returned work through the agreed correction path. Customer acceptance follows the commercial approval and its validity checks.

What to agree during setup

Identify the people who can act as Pricing Reviewer for each organization. The review procedure needs an available person who is independent of the quote’s preparation. App Administrator maintains membership, while the business chooses its decision owners. Administrative maintenance does not grant permission to approve the offer.

Agree when a reviewer should Return a proposal for clarification and when it should be Rejected. Define the expected reason so the specialist can take a concrete next action. Rehearse the exact state changes and revision handling in the review action before using the process with customers.

Set a clear response to expired or stale proposals. The specialist should know how to prepare a current revision and obtain a fresh decision. Review the configured attachment audience at the same time so an internal pricing explanation is handled according to its intended visibility.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Take a priced rooftop quote in Review and have Pricing Reviewer inspect the site evidence and line amounts. Record an Approve decision with a reason that identifies the reviewed scope. Quote Specialist should then find that decision in Decision History and confirm the matching source revision before requesting customer acceptance.

Repeat the exercise with the quote owner attempting to review their own work. The guarded action should refuse the request without recording an approval. Next, have the reviewer submit an older revision after the specialist has changed the quote. Confirm that the stale decision cannot authorize the new version. Finally, use Return for a scope clarification and check that the specialist can identify the issue from the recorded reason.
