What you can do

The work in this module

A review decision records the reviewer, decision date, source revision, decision and reason against an opportunity and, when relevant, a retention follow-up. A record attachment holds a title, kind, link, capture date and notes. An operation receipt records the operation key, date, status, type and optional evidence summary. Together these records show what the team decided, what it referenced and which operation was attempted.

Review decisions link a reviewer and source revision to an opportunity and optional follow-up. Record attachments keep references to supporting material. Operation receipts identify an action, actor, date and status. A manager can use these records to distinguish a completed sales transition from an exception still needing attention.

How the work is organized

  • Ownership. The named owner keeps the next action current and is responsible for resolving stale work.
  • Context. Related records keep the customer, opportunity and organization together so the team can inspect the case before acting.
  • Evidence. A date, outcome, decision or receipt helps a colleague understand what actually happened.

What to agree during setup

Agree how reviewers handle changed revisions, which document kinds are used and where linked files are retained. Assign an owner for operation exceptions and define when a receipt can be marked Completed. Keep decision reasons short and specific so a different reviewer can understand the case.

Pilot a decision on a submitted follow-up and an operation receipt marked Needs Review. The Retention Reviewer should record the revision examined and a reason when returning or rejecting a case. The Sales Manager should agree who investigates the receipt and how the result is documented.

Check the handoff on an actual case

A submitted follow-up has a revised quantity. The Retention Reviewer checks the current revision before deciding and attaches a supporting note if one exists. The manager can later see the decision and any linked attachment. If an operation receipt is marked Failed or Needs Review, the manager investigates that exception against the same opportunity instead of assuming the action finished.

Before relying on a decision, compare the reviewed revision with the current follow-up. Open a linked attachment from the parent case and verify the reference is useful. For a Failed receipt, inspect its operation key and evidence summary; the status alone does not establish that the business action succeeded.

What your team sees

  • Review history — Read decisions by reviewer, date and source revision.
  • Operation exceptions — Investigate receipts marked Failed or Needs Review by type and actor.
