What you can do

Keep the work anchored to a stay

Studio tasks records cleaning, maintenance and guest service work. Each task ties a unit and reservation to an assigned People record, a due date and a status. The Front Desk Agent can capture work from the stay; the Property Manager assigns ownership and follows progress. A completed task records work done, while the studio status tells the property team whether the unit is occupied, cleaning or available.

A task is useful only when its references agree. A cleaning task on a checked-out reservation should point to that reservation’s unit. A maintenance task may keep the unit from taking another commitment. The Operations Reviewer uses task completion as one part of the readiness decision after checkout. The review must not turn an unrelated or unfinished task into evidence that the studio can be offered again.

How the work is organized

  • Keep identity. Begin with the reservation and confirm the guest party and studio before updating a related record.
  • Separate decisions. Record preparation, review and the resulting status as distinct steps where the workflow calls for them.
  • Trace the handoff. Leave the linked task, outlet activity, charge or receipt on the stay so the next role can check its source.

What to agree during setup

Agree when the desk opens a task, who sets its due date and which People record owns each type of work. Use Cleaning, Maintenance and guest service consistently so the Property Manager can find the right queue. A task can move through Open, Assigned, in progress and Completed, but staff should keep its unit and reservation link stable while the work is under review.

Rehearse a checkout with a cleaning task, then try a task linked to the wrong stay. The manager must correct the source link before the reviewer uses it. Also rehearse a unit that remains Cleaning after the task is Completed. The Operations Reviewer checks readiness, and the Property Manager releases the studio only after that decision passes.

Check the handoff on an actual case

After checkout, the unit is Cleaning and an Open task names the unit and reservation. The Property Manager assigns a People record and a due date. Staff update the work through Assigned and in progress to Completed. The Operations Reviewer examines the readiness evidence before the Property Manager returns the unit to Available. A completed task alone does not release the studio; a task linked to another reservation also needs correction before review.

What your team sees

  • Open service tasks — Find open, assigned and in-progress work with its unit and assignee.
