How a ERP + CRM rollout works
Rehearse a complete customer and supplier cycle before widening the rollout.
Agree the pilot
Choose the entity, warehouse and product family. Sales Manager and Finance Manager confirm the customer commitment, approval responsibilities and period to use for rehearsal.
Reconcile the foundations
Review customer and supplier identities, product units, payment terms and currencies. Reconcile opening stock, outstanding obligations, unapplied receipts and asset-book balances with their owners.
Configure decisions and access
Map employees to logins and set preparation, approval and release responsibilities. Agree credit review, purchasing escalation and financial correction policies. Test personal queues and restricted records with representative employees.
Rehearse customer demand
Convert an existing customer's lead, review a quote and approve an order. Follow partial supply through shipment, invoice approval and customer cash application. Retain the remaining quantities and balances after each step.
Rehearse buying and production
Approve a supplier order, record partial acceptance and resolve a bill difference. Where manufacturing is in scope, follow a shortage through planning and accepted terminal output before dispatch.
Reconcile and release the cycle
Test bank and signature outcomes, review posted asset charges and complete the period's close tasks. The business owners review the results before the team starts normal work.
What the customer provides
Provide the legal entities, accountable employees and reviewed operating policies. Bring representative quotes, orders, supplier charges and opening balances that can be traced to their source. Include a partial delivery, a disputed amount and an asset with a known valuation basis so the rehearsal covers decisions as well as straightforward work.
Arrange provider access with the people responsible for banking, signatures and delivery updates. Keep credentials in the approved connection setup. Finance Manager should identify the reconciliations required to accept cutover.
Changing it afterwards
Review changes against the records and decisions they affect. A new price book, approval limit or asset method needs an effective basis and a repeated representative case before use. Preserve accepted revisions and posted history. Use Roles and permissions and Data model when extending the scope.
