Systems to connect

  • Weather services. Choose and configure the service supplying the farm’s readings. Map the observation date, measurement type and unit to the intended field, and agree which readings the team will use during its season discussion.
  • Laboratory systems. Configure the import from the farm’s chosen laboratory. Agree how sample identity is recorded in observation notes so the reviewer can relate a measurement to the field and understand where it came from.
  • Weighing equipment. Set up the device connection and map its measurement to the intended harvest or grade. Field Operator confirms the source harvest and unit before the weight enters the operating record.
  • Accounting and purchasing. Keep financial postings and input purchases in the farm’s designated systems. Agree any exchange of input-lot or harvest information with their owners, including how a source record will be identified during reconciliation.

How connections are governed

For each connection, name the system that owns the original value and the person who resolves a failed mapping. Configure authentication and retry behavior before sending measurements. Confirm that the intended farm record received the value after transmission, including its unit and source identity.

Task execution returns its original result on repetition. Crop planning identifies a repeat by field, variety and planting date; grading uses harvest and grade. Map external events to the appropriate command and check their results during setup. Rehearse an unknown field, an incompatible unit and a repeated delivery with the connection owner before enabling routine exchange. Follow the implementation plan for the pilot handoff.
