Parts assembly and supply teams

A parts business that assembles stock before shipment needs buying, production and customer fulfillment to agree on the available quantity. Inventory distinguishes quantity on hand from allocated quantity. Planned orders separate Work proposals from Purchase proposals, and work orders record the assembly quantity still in progress. Begin with an assembly whose bought component, operation sequence and finished quantity can be checked by the planner and supervisor together. Keep the customer delivery date visible when reviewing a late supply action.

How Automotive ERP is set up for you

Keep bought supply attached to demand

Requisitions explain the quantity, need date and estimated value. Buyer converts approved requests to purchase orders without creating another commitment when conversion is replayed.

Protect acceptance at receipt

Goods receipts can wait for incoming inspection while Quality Inspector checks incoming material. An unaccepted receipt must not be treated as unrestricted stock for assembly.

Explain partial fulfillment

Each delivery links a shipment to its sales order and warehouse. The shipping action records the eligible finished quantity once and creates customer invoices for that delivery scope.

Reconcile the remaining balance

Accountant compares invoice amount outstanding with confirmed cash receipts and applied amount. A partial application must remain visible rather than becoming an unexplained Paid invoice.

Choose a repeated assembly with a bought component, an approved customer order and a partial shipment. Include a late supplier receipt and an invoice mismatch. Production Planner owns the shortage action, Buyer owns the purchasing correction and Accountant owns the matching explanation. Retry the receipt and shipment commands during rehearsal; inventory and invoicing must retain the original effects. Keep carrier, scanner and banking feeds as named connections to configure after their source identities and confirmation rules are agreed.
