Who it's for

Multi-warehouse distributors

A distributor serving dealers from more than one warehouse needs the same answer to two questions: where is the product, and which legal entity owns it? Inventory records current quantity at a location and custody state. A transfer records its source, destination and actual transit progress. Sales and purchasing can use that context when promising or replenishing stock.

How Jewelry ERP is set up for you

Replenishment

Purchasing Manager prepares approved supply for the receiving warehouse and follows the original supplier promise.

Transit

Warehouse Manager authorizes a transfer and tracks dispatched and received quantity without treating goods in motion as newly available stock.

Counting

Warehouse Operator counts a locked scope; Warehouse Manager reviews the variance before posting an adjustment.

Delivery

Assigned operators use released routes and stop results to show what each dealer actually accepted.

Begin with two warehouses, their permitted entities and a few shared products. Receive stock at one site, accept only confirmed quantity and transfer part to the other. Inspect the transit balance before receiving it at the destination. A sales order placed during that interval should be able to distinguish stock that is physically away from stock available to pick.

Plan a count around the same product and location. Lock the population, record the observed amount and review any difference with its cost. This gives the warehouse and finance teams a shared explanation for adjustment. Later, reserve accepted demand and put the delivery on a route with a named operator and planned time window.

Set each site's location names, lot practice, title rule and operator scope before live work. External carrier and bank acknowledgements need an agreed source and reconciliation path.
