- Who it's for
- Multi-warehouse distribution
Multi-warehouse distribution
A distributor operating several warehouses can keep orders, stock ownership and finance aligned across locations. Begin with the work the team already records and give each decision a named owner.
How Plastics ERP is set up for you
Entity scope
Keep legal books and stock ownership distinct even when a warehouse serves more than one entity.
Transfers
Record source dispatch, transit and destination receipt as separate events.
Count control
Lock a count scope, capture blind observations and review a variance before adjustment.
Cash follow-up
Tie invoices and receipt applications to the dealer and entity that owns the balance.
A distributor operating several warehouses can keep orders, stock ownership and finance aligned across locations. Begin with the work the team already records and give each decision a named owner.
Start with an order whose requested quantity exceeds stock at its assigned warehouse. The Warehouse Manager reviews a same-entity transfer from another site. Warehouse Operator records departure into transit and the exact quantity received. If the destination receives less, leave the difference visible for reviewed resolution.
Run a blind count at the destination after locking the count scope. Keep the first observation and any recount before the Warehouse Manager approves an adjustment. Finance Manager reviews required value exceptions. Then compare the stock movement with the entity journal and the dealer reservation.
Add an invoice and partial cash receipt only after the actual delivery result supports billable quantity. Accountant reconciles the bank statement evidence separately from the receipt record. A planned route and a submitted payment instruction remain distinct from their outside outcomes.
