Systems to connect
- Customer order channel. Set up a connection to the sales system or EDI partner that owns incoming demand. Map customer, product, quantity and source identity, and agree when an order is approved for planning.
- Laboratory and recipe systems. Set up the handoff for recipe references and measured colorfastness results when a specialist system owns that work. Agree how Industry Reviewer finds the source evidence before deciding dye release.
- Shop-floor capture. Connect scanners or terminals to the authorized movement and production actions. Keep the work order and original production interval identifiable so a repeated transmission cannot receive the same output again.
- Carrier services. Agree how shipment confirmation and carrier references enter the delivery record. Reconcile a delayed acknowledgment before retrying a delivery action.
- Bank and external ledger. Set up confirmed money and reviewed journal exchange with the chosen finance providers. Decide which system owns final reporting and how Accountant reconciles accepted and rejected exchanges.
How connections are governed
Name the source owner and destination for each connection. Agree the field mapping, access credentials and treatment of repeated or changed messages. A delayed response needs reconciliation against the original source before the team repeats a material or financial action.
Rehearse a repeated completion, a conflicting shipment message and an unavailable provider. Retain the rejected input for investigation and compare the accepted effect with the physical or financial evidence. Include connection checks in implementation, with the responsible production or finance owner participating in the release review.
