How a Textiles ERP rollout works

Rehearse a textile operating cycle with reconciled quantities and named decision owners.

  1. Choose the operating cycle

Select a style and dye job that the floor can explain from yarn requirement through finished output. Include a purchased material and an eligible customer delivery so the pilot exercises the stock and finance handoffs.

  2. Prepare the records

Agree product units, yarn identifiers and the active bill and routing versions. Reconcile opening stock and open invoice balances. Follow [the import order](/erp-for-textiles/data-model) so dependent records point to their intended source.

  3. Assign responsibility

Name the purchasing decision maker, dye evidence recorder and specialty release owner. Agree which people handle customer intake, production reporting and period close. Map employees to their accounts before setting up personal queues.

  4. Rehearse ordinary work

Follow demand into material suggestions, approve the purchase, inspect the receipt and run the production route. Review shade evidence and reconcile garment quantities by size and color before receiving accepted finished output.

  5. Rehearse exceptions

Try incomplete product data, an expired yarn lot and a held dye job. Repeat demand intake, purchase conversion, completion and shipment requests. Inspect the retained records and confirm that duplicate effects do not change the balances.

  6. Reconcile and release

Have Production Planner explain remaining requirements and Accountant explain the stock, invoice and journal effects. Review access with actual team accounts and release the configuration after the responsible owners accept the rehearsal results.

What the customer provides

  • Current product units, bills and routes, with the working calendar and responsible employees.
  • Yarn lot identifiers, recipe references, shade and colorfastness acceptance wording, and garment requirements by size and color.
  • Approved suppliers, open purchase scope and representative incoming inspection evidence.
  • Opening warehouse quantities, current standards, chart of accounts and outstanding invoices.
  • Named purchasing and specialty decision owners and the external systems selected for connection.

Changing it afterwards

Use Proto to prepare a specific change and identify the affected operating handoffs. Rehearse a changed bill against existing work, a revised grade requirement against held dye evidence, or a new source mapping against a repeated event before release. Preserve the original identities and decision evidence so the team can explain what changed.

Review pricing using the expected imports, agent activity and selected connections, then prepare the first cycle.
