What you can do

Assign the work that a review creates

Follow Up Actions hold the title, due date, assignee, status, completion date and resolution of review work. They point back to a Form Definition. The Form Submissions Review screen shows due actions alongside pending decisions, rejected lines and unverified evidence. An Independent Reviewer can raise the action; the Follow-up Assignee sees the work assigned to them and records its resolution.

An action belongs to a source form and a named assignee. Its due date and status let the reviewer see whether a returned case has been addressed. Completion includes a resolution and date, so the next reviewer can inspect the correction rather than relying on an informal message.

How the work is organized

  • Assign the issue. The Independent Reviewer records the action title, source form, assignee and due date.
  • Work the action. The Follow-up Assignee moves Open work to in progress and records what changed.
  • Close with evidence. Complete the action with a resolution and completion date; keep the review decision distinct.

What to agree during setup

Agree which issues require a follow-up action, how a due date is chosen and what a useful resolution says. The assignee needs enough context in the title and source form to find the disputed item. A completed action should carry a resolution and completion date; marking it complete without describing the correction makes the next review harder.

Agree when a rejected line or unverified document needs an action and how the assignee will identify the disputed item. The action points to the form definition, so its title and resolution should identify the specific line or document in ordinary language.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Use a rejected submission line whose evidence needs replacement. Create an action for the named assignee, give it a due date and keep it Open. The assignee replaces or clarifies the evidence, moves the action through in progress and completes it with a resolution. The reviewer then checks the same source form and the new evidence before changing any decision.

After replacing the evidence, let the Evidence Verifier check the document before the Independent Reviewer revisits the source revision. Closing the action does not itself approve a form or accept a submission; inspect those records separately.
