What you can do
Keep a received kitchen order identifiable through every revision
A newly received order with a promised delivery time gives the operator a concrete starting point. The operator checks the owning organization and partner definition, then confirms the selected revision before accepting the order. A later edit must keep the earlier state available for review. The work starts with order number, organization and owner. Those details let the next person open the same order or partner context instead of relying on a message thread. The team then checks order date, partner definition and promised time. The important decision is whether a received order is accepted only after its selected revision and routing context have been checked.
The records here separate an operating fact from its review. An order can have a status, an observation can have an outcome, and a run can have an execution result. Each answers a different question. When the team sees a duplicate order number or an older revision, it keeps the source identity and status history beside the source order so a later reviewer can reconstruct what happened.
How the work is organized
- Identify the source. Start from order number, organization and owner and keep the related organization, partner and order visible.
- Check the decision. Review order date, partner definition and promised time before the order moves to the next status or a result is used.
- Keep the trail. Record the source identity and status history with the same source identity when a question needs investigation.
What to agree during setup
Agree how Order Operator identifies a duplicate number and selects the current revision. Record the organization, owner and partner definition before acceptance. Independent Reviewer should use the same revision when checking evidence. Set the order date and promised time in the organization’s time zone so the next handoff can interpret them.
Give the Order Operator an order with a known number and revision. Walk through an accepted case and a duplicate order number or an older revision. Check that the person responsible for the next step can find the linked source record and its current status. Keep earlier revisions, outcomes and reasons available when the team investigates a change.
Check the handoff on an actual case
A newly received order with a promised delivery time gives the operator a concrete starting point. The operator checks the owning organization and partner definition, then confirms the selected revision before accepting the order. A later edit must keep the earlier state available for review. Ask Kitchen Coordinator to identify the active partner policy for the order date. Independent Reviewer should find the evidence and decision for the selected revision. If an older revision was approved, leave the new revision in Received until its own decision is recorded.
Rehearse the case with a returned or uncertain outcome as well. The team should keep that result visible, assign an action with a due date where needed, and close the action with a resolution that points back to the order. The order trail should still show what happened before the correction.
